June 5th, 2019 - From :  Dr. Christina Baltes, RN, PHN, BSN, MA, DPA.

The listing that was sent out was based on reports from the six Red Cross shelters and there were 5 individuals that met the ADA criteria for persons with disabilities. Their needs were met at that time and we continue to monitor and meet their needs in collaboration with them.
The American Red Cross currently has 6 shelters as listed below:
1 Dardanelle Community Center-Dardanelle
2 North Little Rock Parks and Rec-North Little Rock
3 Conway Sports Center-Conway
4 Evangelical Temple AOG-Fort Smith
5 River Park Church-Russellville
6 SE Arkansas College-Seabrook-Pine Bluff
In addition, the Red Cross is supporting the following shelters with resources and equipment.
These shelters are not run by the Red Cross. While the Red Cross stands ready to support them, as of right now they have not indicated a need.
1. Swan Lake fire Station-provided ARC cots only-Jefferson County
2. Wright/Pastoria Community Center-ARC cots only-Jefferson County
3. Dyer Community Building-ARC cots only-Crawford County
There is also one independent shelter called First Baptist Lavaca. This shelter is a stand alone shelter and has not requested any services from the Red Cross.
We are still in the process of accommodating clients in shelters and are monitoring clients needs. Clients at Red Cross shelters receive information on planning for the future.
Thank you,
Dr. Christina Baltes, RN, PHN, BSN, MA, DPA.
