It’s National Disability Voter Registration Week in Arkansas and organizations around the state have joined together to encourage and train individuals with disabilities and their families on the voting process. Join us at the Advocacy Takes Action Mock Vote, to ensure you gain the education, knowledge, and skill to take an active roll in our nation’s voting system and become a V.I.T.A.L. Champion.
Advocates are VITAL: Vote. Include. Talk. Advocate. Language.
Accessible Mock Voting Exercise (Come practice voting on an accessible machine so you will be ready come voting day!)
Brought to you by Community of Champions, a project supported by the Governor’s Council on Developmental Disabilities Arkansas through a grant to Friendship Community Care. The Community of Champions is an advocacy group joining with Arkansas’ self advocates and parent advocates to ensure the rights of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities are respected and protected. The Arkansas State Independent Living Council and Disability Rights Arkansas are also participating in this event.
