2021 ARSILC Cross-Disability Summit (10:00 am)

The Arkansas State Independent Living Council (ARSILC) cordially invites you to attend the 2021 Cross-Disability Summit for individuals with disabilities. The event will take place on Thursday, September 23rd at the PLAZA Hotel (formerly the Crown Plaza) located at 201 S. Shackleford Road in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Special Guest Speakers Added:  We are pleased to announce that the SABE ” Go Voter Project” will be a part of the 2021 ARSILC Cross-Disability Summit.  The time for the session will be 2:00 p.m. on September 23rd. Our special guest speakers will be:  Teresa Moore,  Essie Pederson,  Juliana Huerena and Bill Lucerno with SABE.  Also joining them to present will be Dee Ann Hart who is part of NCIL’s Civil Rights and Voter Engagement committee. They will provide information about voting, accessibility, and how self-advocates can make a difference in their communities.

Registration and vendor set up begins at 8:30 a.m. with the event kicking off at 10:00 a.m.

This year’s event will provide education and awareness in order to promote equal access, inclusion and continue the momentum for the rights of individuals in Arkansas. Self- Advocacy and Voting rights will be a large component of this year’s program. Due to the recent Pandemic, we will also have conversations and panelists available to talk about the effects of COVID and what the future may or may not hold.

The event is a small version of the ARSILC’s Cross-Disability Conference.

Exhibitors will be on hand who will provide information to participants about programs or services they provide to afford individuals with disabilities to live independently.

The event is FREE for all individuals with disabilities to attend.
All others who would like to attend will pay $40.  This will also include lunch.  The fee is still valid even if you do not eat lunch.
