Pie Day at the Capitol/Disability Awareness Rally

March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month

Join the Governor’s Council on Developmental Disabilities Arkansas (the Council) and our partners during Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month (DDAM) in highlighting the many ways in which people with and without disabilities come together to form stronger, more diverse communities across our state.

JOIN US ON MARCH 14TH AT THE CAPITOL for Pie Day and a rally on the steps!

The GCDDAR joins the Arkansas Alliance for Disability Advocacy and Disability Rights Arkansas for a day of legislative advocacy at the Arkansas State Capitol.

YOU ARE INVITED!
When? Tuesday, March 14, 2023, 9:30 AM – 1:00 PM

Where? The Arkansas State Capitol

What? Visit with fellow disability advocates, have some pie, talk with your legislators and then rally on the Capitol steps.

Why? Educate Arkansas policymakers that people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families should be part of the design & implementation process of disability service systems.
